Who are we?


DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL COMMUNICATIONS OF ACCRA     (DEPSOCOM ACCRA)


The Department of Social Communications (DEPSOCOM) of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra was established to evangelize and promote the message of the gospel in the media. DEPSOCOM Accra through the provision of technical support, continues to work with other Departments of the Diocesan Curia and Parishes of the Archdiocese in ensuring that the mission of the Church in relation to social communications are achieved

The Department is responsible for the evangelization apostolate of the Archdiocese through the media and also for responding to all public inquiry regarding matters associated with the ministry of the Church and the Archdiocese.

The office is opened every Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and we occasionally work on weekends.

The office is under  the leadership a Diretor for Social communication appointed by the office of the Archbishop.

Some Of Our Productions/Programmes


Catholic Digest TV programs are aired on GTV every Saturday from 6:00am – 6:30am and on Crystal TV from 9:30am –10:00 and on AmansanTV   Saturdays on 7:30am-8:00am and a repeat on Sundays from 9:00am-9:30am

Rome reports and EWTN on Lumen Christi Ghana (Crystal TV) Sundays at 1:30pm-2: 00pm and on GTV Life, Sundays from 3:00pm – 3:30pm

Our Catholic radio program includes:

Catholic Gyidi Mu Nsem(Akan)  on Adom 106.3 FM, every Sunday 9:00pm – 9:30pm, Catholic Time for the Word every Thursday on Uniiq 95.7 FM (English) from 7:30pm – 8:00pm , Katoliko Nufiafia(Ewe), Mondays from 9:30-10:00 on Obonu 96.5 FM . Katolik Nitsomo(Ga) Saturdays on Obonu 96.5 FM  from 6:30pm – 7:00 pm and lastly  Bible Nkyere Kyere (Akan) on  Accra FM  100.5 FM) Sundays  7:30pm -8:00pm ( 100.5 FM)

These programs are aired in our Ghanaian dialect: Akan, Ewe and Ga respectively. Plans are far advanced to start other programs in different Ghanaian languages on other networks.
