UN sends first aid to rebuild Gaza after ceasefire
Ruins and destruction after the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine are the result of the recent escalation of violence in Gaza.
The United Nations has allocated $ 18.6 million from the Central Fund for Emergency Action.

“Financial support is crucial to meeting the needs in Gaza and the West Bank. It is also critical that the Humanitarian Fund for the Occupied Palestinian Territories be replenished. It treats of a flexible tool to respond quickly to the urgent needs ”.
Following the partial reopening of the Kerem Shalom crossing, the UN has dispatched 13 humanitarian trucks with food, Covid19 vaccines, and medical products. And they hope to step up their aid amid the ceasefire.

“Following the ceasefire, the number of people seeking protection in our refugee service centers has dropped to less than 1,000.”
The Pope celebrated the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, calling for a new phase in the region to be ushered in.
